Sign-in and account identity
Sign-in uses the native Sites / ChatGPT service. The application receives a Sites user identifier, an available account name and email address. The identifier connects your books, likes, comments, reports, promotion requests and contest entries to your account. Only the configured owner has administrator access. Signing in does not grant this role.
Your email is not displayed as a comment author. Comments use the available account name, or “Reader” if a name is unavailable. The application does not ask for your ChatGPT password.
Books and the author name you choose
A book’s author or pen name is entered separately from your account name. Book records include the title, description, excerpt, language, category, declared use of AI, access mode, optional price and external link, covers and uploaded PDF/EPUB files. The application records your rights affirmation and its date, publication status and revisions.
Published book details and excerpts are public. Downloads follow the book’s access mode; unpublished books are limited to their owner and the administrator. Uploaded versions may be retained, including the version submitted to a contest.
Public contributions and likes
Visible comments and replies display the author’s account name, text, date and spoiler indication. Your name is shown before you post. Likes are linked to your account and book; public pages show totals rather than a list of readers who liked a book.
Reports, contests and administration
Reports store your account identifier, the reported book or comment, your reason, date and review status for administrator review. Contest entries retain the submitted book version and rules. Published editorial results can show the book title, author, place and editorial note.
The application keeps activity records for usage limits and an administration journal with the acting account, action, date, reason and before/after values. Reports and this journal are not public. Payment-link settings and the administrator’s readiness attestation are stored; the attestation is not provider verification.
Payment providers and external links
Available contribution and sponsorship links open a checkout hosted by Stripe or PayPal. Payment details are entered there, not in this application. Universal AI Book Odyssey has no form or database field for card numbers, IBANs or payment passwords. Returning from checkout does not confirm payment or activate a promotion.
The authentication, hosting, payment and external bookstore services process data under their own terms and privacy information. This page describes this application’s features, not all processing performed by those services.
Browser preferences and retained records
Your language preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. Text drafts and request recovery references are kept in session storage for your account in the current tab; selected PDF/EPUB and cover files are not stored there. Your private reading list is saved in your account. Hiding a book or comment is moderation, not deletion: stored versions, reports and journal entries can remain. There is currently no self-service account-erasure control in the application.
